FINALLY IT'S HERE: premium quality color graphic touchscreen interface technology standard on PLC-driven cleaning systems

Crest Ultrasonics' Engineering Department announces the incorporation of the Kessler-Ellis MMI-1500 color graphic touchscreen human-machine interface (HMI) into Crest automated precision cleaning systems driven by a broad range of familiar PLCs such as Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, GE, Omron, Siemens, and others. This development represents a valuable step forward in functionality and a significant improvement in automation control pricing.

The MMI-1500 will be employed as the standard HMI on all Crest PLC-driven systems except those utilizing a CTS-500 materials handling system, which is not large enough to accommodate it. (For CTS-500 units, the Zoid text display is still standard. The MMI-1500 may be remotely located as a special system option.)

As with the PanelView, Panelmate, and other HMIs previously used by Crest Ultrasonics, the MMI-1500 will provide outstanding capabilities for the setting, editing, and monitoring of machine functions and parameters. It allows easy touchscreen control of machine operations, and it can even print out data on an optional Epson printer.

The size and features of the Kessler-Ellis MMI-1500 exceed those found on the color PanelView 900, but the cost is closer to that of the smaller monochrome PanelView 550.

The Kessler-Ellis MMI-1500 touchscreen unit is Windows-based and NEMA-4 rated for industrial use. It also meets Europe's tough CE standards. Hundreds of parameters are incorporated in the standard control system, and a large number of options are also available, including customization of screen graphics to incorporate the customer's logo, corporate colors, and unique processing specifications.

The available PLC drivers for the Kessler-Ellis MMI-1500 include: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Aromat, Koyo, Modicon, Fuji, and Ge Fanuc.
According to the manufacturer, new supporting device drivers are being developed every day.

Color graphic MMI-1500 control technology by Kessler-Ellis is now utilized as the standard HMI for all of these PLC-driven Crest automation systems:

• CTS-250, CTS-1000, CTS-1500, and larger CTS Rigibot Materials Handling Systems. (Available on CTS-500 units as a remotely- located system option.)
• Crest Mass Transfer Systems.
• Crest Ladder Transfer Systems.

The MMI-1500 may also be retrofitted to most existing Crest automated precision cleaning systems.

As a special option, other interface systems can be used on new Crest automated cleaning systems if the customer has a particular requirement or brand loyalty.
