| Transducers inside each end cap on the titanium or stainless steel rods produce cyclic positive and negative pressure waves at the frequency of operation (25 kHz or 40 kHz). The positive pressure wave acts as a pushing force on the titanium rod and the negative pressure wave acts as a pulling force (hence "Push-pull"). |
